VISUAL ARTS
Kevin Cole South Fulton
Juried Art Competition
In partnership with the Southwest Arts Center and renowned artist and educator Kevin Cole, The Society, Incorporated, Greater Atlanta Chapter presents the Kevin Cole South Fulton Juried Art Competition—a premier platform that celebrates and advances the talents of high school artists across metro Atlanta.
Students from Atlanta Public Schools and Fulton County Schools showcase their work, gain exposure to professional artistic standards, and compete for meaningful scholarships and awards.
Through honors such as the Leanora Davis Art Scholarship and the Kevin Cole Senior GAC Scholarship, the chapter provides direct financial support that helps students pursue higher education and careers in the arts. This program reflects our commitment to creating pathways for young artists to thrive.

SIGNATURE EVENT
Brims & Brooches: A Celebration of Next Gen Artistry
Brims & Brooches is the chapter's signature fundraising and showcase event — an afternoon of hats, heirloom brooches, and homegrown talent celebrating emerging young artists across every discipline we serve.
Proceeds from the celebration raise funds for the scholarships and programming that carry our students forward throughout the year.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
Joyce Johnson Pipe
Organ Workshop
In partnership with Spelman College, The Society, Incorporated, Greater Atlanta Chapter offers the Joyce Johnson Pipe Organ Workshop, an immersive experience introducing elementary and middle school students to one of music’s most powerful and historic instruments. Students attend a live recital at Sisters Chapel and participate in hands-on instruction led by Dr. Joyce Johnson, an acclaimed organist, former Director of the Music Department at Spelman College, and a life member of the chapter.

This program provides early exposure to classical music, mentorship, and technical learning while connecting students to the rich cultural legacy of historically Black institutions. By sparking curiosity and expanding access, the workshop helps inspire the next generation of musicians and preserves an important artistic tradition.

CLASSICAL MUSIC
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
Talent Development Program (TDP)
In collaboration with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Society, Incorporated, Greater Atlanta Chapter supports the Talent Development Program (TDP)—a nationally respected initiative cultivating the next generation of exceptional Black and Latinx classical musicians. Chapter members attend the annual spring recital, where high school students perform at an advanced level, demonstrating both technical mastery and artistic growth.
During this event, the chapter contributes to the Azira G. Hill Scholarship Fund and presents monetary awards to graduating seniors, reinforcing our commitment to access and excellence. Many TDP participants continue their studies at premier institutions such as Juilliard School and Berklee College of Music, underscoring the program’s transformative impact and our role in supporting their journey.
